Kylie Jenner has hit back after Alex Rodriguez claimed the reality star spent the Met Gala talking about "how rich she is".

The sportsman fiance of Jennifer Lopez told Sports Illustrated of his time at the star-studded New York event last month, "We had a great table. The black guy from The Wire, Idris Elba... and his new wife, some famous singer next to me; I don't know what her name is. Versace, Donatella. We had Kylie and Kendall (Jenner). And we had an Asian gentleman from (Crazy) Rich Asians, the lead. Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is."

However, mother-of-one Kylie took issue with Alex's retelling of the evening, and tweeted on Tuesday night: "Umm no i didn't. We only spoke about Game of Thrones."

Following her tweet, Alex returned to the micro-blogging site to apologise to the reality star turned make-up mogul, replying: "OMG that's right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your make-up line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove."

While Kylie denied Alex's allegations, she frequently hits headlines because of her wealth, and was named the youngest self-made billionaire by editors at Forbes magazine back in March.
